Please join Zoë and me, as well as a bunch of other local authors and illustrators for children, in this celebration of our wonderful Indie bookstore.
The day begins at 10AM. Zoë and I will be there from 1-3PM to sign our new book, THERE'S A WOLF AT THE DOOR. There will also be a bunch of new PADDINGTON BEAR books and other picture books, including the Halloween favorite, WE'RE OFF TO FIND THE WITCH'S HOUSE, that I'd be happy to sign and doodle in.
If you'd like to be sure of finding a particular title, please call ahead so the cheerful folk at Barrington Books can be sure to have it on hand.

Please pardon the continued out-of-datedness of this site.
Since my last update, many new Paddington books, including the much anticipated new novel PADDINGTON HERE AND NOW, have come out in celebration of the bear's 50th anniversary.
There are also many new Elf books out and about, with more in the works.
All of this certainly reflects very poorly on the management team here. Even the picture is out of date. I have spiffy new glasses. But yet, since I am the management, I have no one to blame but myself. It's so unfair.
With luck, all will be brought up to date by late October.
To get a jump on things, above is the cover drawing from the newest book: THERE'S A WOLF AT THE DOOR by the lovely Zoë B. Alley, from Roaring Book Press. It's a retelling in panel format of five traditional wolf-centered tales told in decidedly nontraditional language for the picturebook crowd. It's already gotten a starred reviews from Booklist and Kirkus and a mention in Kirkus Review's Graphic Spotlight 2008. We are very happy.
So, please check back in late October for updates and revisions to this site. Thanks.
